Freight Train Sets pulled by the
#283 C&NW Pacific Locomotive
There were nine different freight sets pulled by the #283 C&NW Pacific engine that Gilbert sold under seventeen different stock numbers between 1954 and 1957.  Three came with 220V transformers for export.  Most never appeared in a Gilbert catalog.
The #113 train sold in 1955 contains a #923 IC reefer, #931 gondola, #925 tank car, and #938 caboose.
The set also includes 20 #702 curved track, 6 #700 straight track, a #690 track terminal, 704 manual uncoupler, #1-1/2 50-watt transformer, and #747 Figure-8 Cardboard Trestle set.
This is one of the sets Gilbert created to reduce their inventory of unsold 1954 products.
The #127 train sold in 1955 contains a #974 AFL Operating Boxcar, #921 hopper, #925 tank car, and
#938 caboose.  (My 734 Operating Boxcar is standing in for the 974 until I get one.)  The set also includes 12 #702 curved track, 2 #700 straight track, a #690 track terminal, 704 manual uncoupler, #1-1/2 50-watt transformer, #799 Talking Station, and #K775 Baggage Loading Platform.
This is another of the sets Gilbert created to reduce their inventory of unsold 1954 products.
#1152 set sold in 1956.
#1180 set sold in 1956.  It was also sold in 1957 as the #20115 set.
#1199 set sold in 1956.  It came with an extraordinary number of cars: 12 of them!
#5510T New Mountaineer Freight set sold in 1955.
It was also sold in the W. W. Granger catalog as the #2H349 Mountaineer 6-Unit Freight.
#K5423T Mountaineer 8-Unit Freight sold in 1954.
It was also sold in the W. W. Granger catalog as the #2H341 Mountaineer 8-Unit Freight
#5620T New Mountaineer Freight sold in 1956.
#9691 set sold in 1956.
