Chessie Freight

This is my second Showcase Line train from S-Helper Services.

#01255  Chessie NW-2 Switch Engine made from 2004 to 2006. The SHS engines run extremely smoothely and quietly when you're used to the 1950s Gilbert engines!

#01146 Chessie PS2 Hopper made from 2003 to 2006.

#00018 Central of New Jersey PS2 Hopper made from 1994 to 1996.

#514 Wilson Reefer made in 2000.

#527 Narragansett Reefer numbered 13 made in 2000.

#528 Narragansett Reefer numbered 16 made in 2000.

#00306 Pennsylvania Railroad flatcat with trailer made in 1998 and from 2002 to 2005.

#01133 Frisco boxcar made from 2004 to 2006.

#01266 D&RGW caboose made from 2004 to 2006.

The detail and precision scaling on these S-Helper cars really are far superior to anything that Gilbert or Lionel ever made.  But they're also a lot more delicate.  The Gilbert cars were designed as toys to be played with by young boys.  The S-Helper cars clearly are not.
