I need the following
pictures to complete The Gilbert Gallery. If you have any of these
engines or cars and you would like to share them with the world,
email me a picture:
theupstairstrain@gmail.com.
Thank you very much!
Several
people have asked what kind of picture is best. The best shot
would be on the tracks on a layout to show its "natural
habitat" but without too much in the background to take
attention away from the car. Second best is on a plain surface
like a tabletop with nothing else in the picture - dark surface
for light-colored cars and light surface for dark-colored
cars.
Mostly, people will want to see the side of the car
or engine, but a picture is more impressive and informative if you
can see a bit of the top and the most interesting end as well.
If
you have the original box that the item came in, put each item on
top of its box in such a way that the box label with the catalog
number and name shows clearly in the picture.
At least
800X600 dpi resolution; the bigger it is, the better resolution we
get. And, of course, a jpg file is best.
I would like to
give you photo credit. Please include your name as you would like
it to appear in the photo credit, or state that you'd prefer to
remain anonymous. I would be happy to provide a link to your
website or ebay sales if you like.
I've recently
added pages for the folowing types of engines and cars that Lionel
has released in the past ten years. I have only a couple of these
cars and need pictures of the rest.
